Summary

XONEMI is an offline-first audio learning application. Imported audio, recordings, listening history, bookmarks, voice memos, goals, and settings are stored on your device by default.

XONEMI does not currently provide user accounts, XONEMI cloud sync, an advertising SDK, analytics, or a XONEMI-operated application backend. Online services such as YouTube may show advertising and process data under their own policies.

XONEMI can open online content that you select, including HTTPS audio links, podcast feeds, and YouTube videos. Those features require direct network requests to the selected host or YouTube. The external service can receive normal connection information such as your IP address and device/browser request data under its own privacy policy.

Export, backup, restore, and sharing happen only after a user action through platform file and share interfaces. XONEMI does not upload your local library or learning history automatically.

Who we are

This policy covers the XONEMI Android application and its public product website. The developer name used for XONEMI in Google Play is AAA IT.

For support, privacy questions, or deletion requests relating to messages you send us, contact xonemi@ibi.bz. You do not need to create an account to use XONEMI or to contact us.

Data stored on your device

XONEMI stores the following in app-private storage and a local SQLite database:

Data Purpose Stored where
Imported audio files Playback and completion tracking App-private audio folder
Optional offline copies of remote audio Offline playback App-private audio folder
Quick Recordings Library content saved by the user App-private audio folder
Voice memos Notes linked to playback positions App-private memo folder and database metadata
Bookmarks Saved positions and optional descriptions Local database
Listening sessions and intervals Proof of real playback coverage Local database
Completion history Verified completion events Local database
Categories and listening goals Organization and progress targets Local database
App settings Theme, playback, recording, and device preferences Local database
Playback checkpoint Resume and recovery state Local database
Backup metadata Backup validation and restore support Local storage and selected backup file

XONEMI does not transmit this local data to XONEMI servers because the current application has no XONEMI-operated backend.

Online sources and external services

Online features run only after you provide or select a source.

Direct audio and podcast hosts

When you enter a direct HTTPS audio URL or podcast feed, XONEMI connects directly to that host to inspect or play the content. The host may receive standard network information and may apply its own logging, cookies, access controls, or privacy terms.

YouTube

When you detect a YouTube link in the Add Online Source form, XONEMI requests its title from YouTube's official oEmbed endpoint. The request sends that video URL and normal network connection information. You can edit the title or enter it yourself if the lookup fails. Titles are cached only in memory; your local learning history is not sent. XONEMI does not download YouTube video or audio.

YouTube links are played through the official embedded YouTube player. YouTube and Google may process connection, device, playback, cookie, or account information according to the Google Privacy Policy. XONEMI does not proxy YouTube traffic and does not receive your Google or YouTube credentials.

Optional offline copies

Where supported, XONEMI may download a copy only after a user-selected action. The downloaded file is stored locally and is included in deletion, reset, and backup behavior described below.

Permissions and device capabilities

Permission or capability Why XONEMI uses it When it is used
Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) Quick Recordings and voice memos When the user starts recording
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) Android media and lock-screen controls During background playback on supported Android versions
Bluetooth (BLUETOOTH_CONNECT) Discover or request a Bluetooth recording route When a Bluetooth input is selected on Android
Foreground service and media playback Continue audio with a visible media notification While background audio is active
Wake lock Background audio playback While the playback service is running
Keep screen awake Optional keep-screen-awake setting Only while the setting is enabled and the app is foregrounded
Internet Direct audio, podcasts, optional offline copies, and YouTube Only when an online source is used
System file selector Import audio and select restore files After the user opens a picker
System share interface Export backups, logs, or diagnostics After the user chooses to share or save

If a permission is denied:

Permissions can be changed in Android system settings.

Sharing, backup, export, and restore

XONEMI acts only after a user command. Available actions can include:

A destination such as email, cloud storage, messaging, or a file manager controls any copy stored outside XONEMI. XONEMI cannot delete external copies.

Portable backups can contain personal audio, voice memos, descriptions, settings, and learning history. Store them securely.

Diagnostics and logging

Google Play or the Android operating system may collect crash or device information when the user has enabled platform-level reporting. That processing is outside XONEMI application code.

Retention and deletion

Action Effect
Archive a library item Hides it from the active library while retaining its data and history
Remove a local or offline media file Removes the selected media where the action specifies deletion; historical proof records can remain so past activity is not silently rewritten
Delete a bookmark or memo Removes the selected local record and, for a memo, its app-private media file where applicable
Reset All Data Clears XONEMI database data and deletes managed app-private audio and memo files
Uninstall XONEMI Removes app-private data subject to Android platform behavior and device settings

Backup, export, and media files saved outside the application are not deleted by Reset All Data or uninstall.

Files imported with “keep on device” remain references to your chosen documents; reset removes the library reference and preserves the original file. Reset cancels app downloads and removes managed partial files. If deletion is interrupted or denied, the app retains a cleanup record and asks you to retry before using the cleared library.

Security and integrity controls

XONEMI uses app-private storage and includes validation intended to reduce accidental corruption and unsafe restore behavior. Portable restore handling includes path traversal checks, archive limits, checksums, database preflight checks, and foreign-key validation.

No software can guarantee absolute security. Keep devices, exported files, and backup destinations protected.

Children’s privacy

XONEMI is not directed at children under 13 or the minimum age required in the user’s jurisdiction. The current application has no account system through which XONEMI knowingly collects a child’s personal profile.

International use

Local XONEMI processing occurs on the user’s device. Online-source requests go directly to the selected external service. Exporting data to an app or provider in another country is controlled by the destination selected by the user and that provider’s terms.

Website and support email

The public XONEMI website and this policy are hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Loading the website sends ordinary request information, such as your IP address, requested page, and browser details, to Cloudflare for delivery and security. The website does not include analytics, advertising scripts, embedded media players, or tracking cookies. It does not access your in-app library or listening history. Cloudflare's processing is described in its Privacy Policy.

If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards these messages to the publisher's support inbox hosted by Gmail. Cloudflare and Google process the message for email delivery and hosting under their policies. We use this information to respond to your request and investigate the issue you report; we do not automatically obtain your recordings or device files.

Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle the request and related follow-up. You can request deletion by emailing the same address; we will delete correspondence we control unless continued retention is required by law or to address an unresolved dispute. Copies controlled by your email provider are outside our control. Email hosting and online services may process data in other countries.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when storage, permissions, online sources, third-party services, export behavior, or publisher details change. The date above identifies the current revision. The public version is available at xonemi.pages.dev/privacy/.
